On the last Thursday of term, Stage Two participated in an excellent Multicultural Food Festival. The festival was the culmination of HSIE and Science work for the term. Students had researched different foods from around the globe during the course of the term and were asked to choose a recipe and bring a plate to share with fellow students at the festival. The amount of thought, preparation and pride that went into the day was inspiring. Some of the dishes that were put on the table, just to name a few, included: - biscotti and pizza from Italy, guacamole and nachos from Mexico, Jersey Wonders from the Channel Islands, Sushi from Japan (some children even liked the wasabi), black rice pudding from Thailand, hummus from Israel, Butter chicken and naan bread from India, pavlovas and lamingtons from Australia, Pumpkin Pie from America and cheesecake from France. It was a great day with many, many smiling and contented children by the end. A group of students also produced their own cookbooks for the occasion. A big thank you goes to all the parents who helped these little chefs prepare such a delicious smorgasbord. Mr Britton
