Year 6 in Canberra

Canberra

An extremely busy week in Canberra was had by Year 6 last week. Tuesday had us visiting Mt. Ainslie, Parliament House, the National Museum, the CSIRO and Telstra Tower. Wednesday, the War Memorial, Cockington Green, the Dinosaur museum, the AIS and ten pin bowling. Thursday's activities included Questacon, Film and TV archives, the National Gallery, the High Court and Electoral Education Centre.

Garry Sampson did an impeccable job getting us to all of our locations. Not to mention all of the way to Canberra and back! Carole Clarkson and Elizabeth Balibonera did a fantastic job at keeping up with us all!

The students were a credit to the school. The questions and comments that they asked of each expert were well thought out and informative. We had many general community members speaking of how lovely the students, their manners and their actions were. We were very proud!

Many thanks to Mrs James for all of her planning, preparation and production of the excursion.
